A thermoform packaging machine forms the package, fills it and seals it in a single continuous line. Instead of buying ready-made trays or cups, you feed reels of film: the bottom film is heated and formed into cavities, the product is placed or dosed into each cavity, a lid film is sealed on, and the finished packs are cut and discharged.

What it solves. Manual tray handling and separate forming, filling and sealing stations are replaced by one hygienic, repeatable process. Pack size and seal quality stay consistent from the first pack to the last, the right atmosphere inside the pack protects product shelf life, and one line can run different formats by changing the mold.

Types of thermoform packaging.

  • Vacuum: air is removed from the pack before sealing — a compact, practical format for many food products.
  • MAP (Modified Atmosphere Packaging): the air is replaced with a gas mix matched to the product, for fresh meat, poultry, dairy and ready meals. See the Bpz Series.
  • Skinpack: a skin film follows the product shape for firm protection and strong shelf presentation. See the Skinpack Series.
